Day 01
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to Negombo, a coastal town known for its lagoons and sandy beaches. Continue north to Anuradhapura, the island’s first great capital. Explore magnificent stupas, royal palaces and monasteries that have stood for centuries. Journey south to Kandy, the cultural capital nestled by a scenic lake. Stop at a spice garden en route to discover the aromatic treasures of Sri Lanka’s cuisine. Board one of the world’s most scenic train rides from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, passing waterfalls and misty mountains.
